This is a Brand new course for 2006. The course provides Knowledge & understanding of science that is relevant to students everyday life. The aim of the course is to engage students to stimulate excitement and intrigue about how science works.

What will I learn?

Over the two years twelve topics will be taught:

What sort of homework will I be set?

Questions on work covered, finding out information, reports on practical work or revision for tests.

What coursework will I need to do?

Six of the modules will be examined by multiple-choice tests during the course. These are set and marked by the exam board; you will have to revise for these.

You will also do 3 practical assessments, one for each of the main topic areas of Science.

GCSE Additional Science

This is a Brand new course for 2006. The course provides knowledge & understanding of Science that is relevant to student's everyday life. The aim of the course is to engage students to stimulate excitement and intrigue about how science works. This is a full science course that encompasses two GCSE's.

What will I learn?

In Y10 the topics from GCSE Science will be taught (see GCSE Science). In Y11 the following topics will be taught:
