German
This language has become increasingly useful in the areas of business, law and tourism. It is a language for those who love the beauty of structures and words.
What will I learn?
You will develop your ability to hold a conversation and write in German through five different topic areas: Everyday activities e.g. school, personal information, the world about us e.g. home town/area, the world of work, the International world.You will extend your knowledge of the vocabulary and grammar of the language, study the culture of countries where German is spoken and develop IT skills in German.
What sort of homework will I be set?
This will include learning vocabulary and grammar, reading, listening and writing tasks.What coursework will I need to do?
You will need to produce 3 units of work from the 5 topic areas listed above. A unit is 350-500 words of written work. Each unit can be made up of several short pieces of writing or one long piece of writing.
How will my work be assessed?
