The course will further develop your ability to understand, hold a conversation and read and write in French. Such language skills have become increasingly important in our modern day world.
What will I learn?
You will continue to study French. You will extend your knowledge of the vocabulary and grammar of this language. You will also study the culture and way of life in the country or countries where the language is spoken. You will develop your language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing through such topics as: life at home; myself, family and friends; food and drink; free time and social activities; health and fitness; home, town and local area and school. You will be offered the opportunity to visit the country during your GCSE studies. You will develop IT skills in French.What sort of homework will I be set?
You will have to learn vocabulary, phrases and grammar, do reading tasks, write assignments and use a tape to practise your listening skills.What coursework will I need to do?
You will need to produce 3 units of work from 5 topic areas. A selection of your best pieces of writing will be submitted as coursework or you can produce three pieces of extended writing.
How will my work be assessed?
